How many of you qt everything that goes into your tank.

I don't and I've honestly never had any serious issues. I may see a white dot on a fin every once in a while but they have always went away within a couple days.

I don't have the time/space to run qt tanks for everything that I put in the tank. I just try to provide my fish with good healthy food and perform weekly water changes. I also have pretty hardy fish, other than my yellow tang which has done very well.

I'd at least make sure you do dips for what ever you introduce

I qt, the guy I get my fish from qt’s for 2 weeks then I QT for 6 and treat with seachem paraguard

In my opinion it's a very good idea especially if you have a couple hundred dollars in fish. One new fish can wipe out your entire tank, also if you got ick you'd have to leave it empty of fish for at least 9 weeks for it all to starve out.

This will probably turn into a very long thread, but for the record I don’t quarantine and never have.

I’m in the UK and am assured by the LFS’s I use that the wholesalers quarantine and treat fish with whatever they need to before they get to the LFS who are also very good.

So I think a lot of the decision to QT or not may depend on the source of live stock etc.

I’m not recommending not to QT, and in many cases it may be a good idea, but I personally don’t

I personally don't just because I know the people who own my local lfs and they quarantine everything and check every single fish before they sell them, but that's just me. IF I was spending a ton of money on a fish I would qt it.
