Here is my Flasher Wrasse that has been in qt since Friday. He is also in with an Orange Spot Goby and a Firefish. All three are eating, although I’ve only seen the goby eat once as he is very reclusive. I am feeding LRS Reef Frenzy. The wrasse has finally come out of his shell and is always out and about. Please check out this video clip and let me know if his belly appears swollen.

Fish looks either full or constipated or even a gas bubble.
Is it eating ? If so, try soft foods such as brine shrimp or Mysis shrimp or even a boiled green pea feeding the inner meat.
If NOT eating and becomes prolonged, treat with Kanamycin (Kanaplex) in a Quarantine tank

Thank you for checking out the video. He is eating like a pig. Zooms around and grabs it all. I will try the boiled pea. That should make him poop right?

I was told it could be a gas bubble but he wasn’t swollen when he went into qt, can a gas bubble just develop?

Gas can just develop yes and pea will relieve consipation. Him eating is a good sign

@vetteguy53081 just went to observe and there is a ball of mucus in front of his face that he keeps sucking into his mouth and blowing out. Is this his mucous net? Or something to worry about.

There is a hill flap known as an operculum which may be what you see
Does the fish have a slimy/hazy look around its face?

it’s like a wad of mucous floating in front of his face. Then he pulls it in and pushes it back out. First picture is in the mouth, second is in front.

That’s not the flap I spoke of. Try pea. If unsuccessful, go to kanaplex

@vetteguy53081 I woke up this morning and the wrasse was already swimming around with a 2+” poop hanging from him. His abdomen looked normal. I guess he had to poop. Thank you for the help.
