Reef·a·chon·dri·ac

Noun

a person who is abnormally anxious about their reef tank.

A severe symptom believed to threaten one's reef tank(e.g., Dino’s , pests, crashes etc. ) History of reefing abuse (physical, financial, emotional) or neglect of everything else in life except your reef tank. Usually Having another reefing disorder (e.g., obsessive compulsive-ness,
YouTube “now ima x-pert” syndrome, etc)

Reefachondria is itself a form of mild psychosis. The Reefachondriac has a deep and ungrounded worry about having or developing a serious issue with their reef tank. Paranoia and suspiciousness are classical traits of psychosis but they can be subtle.

but don’t worry, I found a great support group:
Reef2reef.com

If you would ask my wife - yes, she is starting to notice the above mentioned symptoms in me.

If you ask me - I am perfectly fine thanks to the really nice and helpful support group in the face of reef2reef community.

Bfragale or BFragile? ;Smuggrin

Can't say I'm worrying about diseases or crashes, I feel like that's a learning process you have to go to when taking on a new hobby\project. But coming from a technical background I get way to nervous around equipment, because I feel like I should have that under control. I can lay awake at night thinking I need to calibrate sensors or check my heaters, make sure the internet is up, or that the pumps are running ;Walkingdead

I admit I have a problem

in my invasion remedy threads, we thrive on the indecisive becoming quite decisive

sometimes being concerned helps us take action, if we approach literally every thing w patience, we're accepting entrants into the total tank invasion threads just before you quit reefing daily.

patience= the sages told me this would self-resolve.

there's a time for patience and a time for total action, discernment = best trait to acquire

It is an undisputed fact that current cycling rules for the hobby has the masses thinking bacteria are so weak they must be retail supplemented in some way in order to reef. The post nineties reefing generation is on the hook for cash outflow

for example
if there are formal reef rule go to cycling rule videos saying nitrite stalls cycles, but in reality nitrite cannot stall any reef tank cycle, and if I have collected about 100 threads showing nitrite offset purchases, then by rule I have defined a sales pathway linked to a chondria of some sort

(it would also require a thread showing pages and years of nitrite-positive reef starts all in one place to prove neutrality, yes we do have those)

fear of an incomplete cycle is a strong, strong sales motivator thats a form of cycle hypochondria.

if there was only something I could buy, to feel ok

Not I. I have Reef Zen.

a state of calm attentiveness in which one's actions are guided by intuition rather than by conscious effort. Perhaps that is the zen of Reefing—you become one with the corals, lost in the rhythm of the tasks at hand.

Haha! We need to start a reefing urban dictionary for these great terms! Reefachondria, Reef Zen, Reefcebo... :D

we made it impossible for Jack to have cycle chondriasis here

if you read detailed you'll see the buying responses featured above, we're trained well, us buyers.

reef hypochondria is killed by confidence and assembling work threads that prove outcomes builds conf

look how well our buyer training pervades: anyone here make a sample cycling thread poll asking if attaining and holding 8 ppm ammonia for days will stall a cycle-

99% of your respondents will say yes, dead. can't handle past 5ppm the directions say it. the other 1% is J from above.

how did 8ppm turn out above, stalled or not? it was indeed not stalled. we applied seller information there, not buyer information.
