Do you talk to your fish/critters?

If you talk to your critters, do you talk "at them" or engage them in conversation?

I talk to my fish and shrimp, but all they say back is "Feed me. Now."

My wife talks at them when the lights go out. My 8 year old daughter sings to them, though as yet I haven’t heard a rendition of the Frozen theme tune for our purple Firefish.

My wife has names for all of the fish and most of the corals. And does talk to them. She asks if they want food and if they are happy etc.

Yes, I do! If the clowns are looking extra snazzy, I’ll let them know.

I also tell the goby to get the pellet that’s right in front of his face. ;Hilarious ;Facepalm

I talk to my mandarin and tell him "Eat your dang food before it causes more nutrients". He seems intimidated and eats it so that's good

My wife heard me talking to my guys the other day. She came around the corner and said, "Are you talking to your fish?" I said, "yeah", but the look on my face was more like, "What a silly question. Of course I'm talking to my fish."

Sometimes, I think I'm crazy. I try to glue a frag down and my fish rush in to bite the frag. I start yelling "stop that! It's not food, you jerks." Or "get out of my way, I need to move this."

Last time my clowns bit my scroll coral frags and I yelled at them so loud I made my dogs jump off the couch

i yell at my Tiger shrimp and my Engieer goby almost every day for retunnelling my tank..

I do the same with my goby/shrimp pair but it's because of the massive sand dunes they make around their rock. Haha. I think my rock is actually sinking. I guess I should've put it on the glass when I added it. LOL

Yep, I talk to mine all the time. I mainly keep gobies. I'm still trying to understand what they're mouthing back to me. I hope it's nice things they're saying. Haha.
