Just be sure to put in low lighting and hopefully it makes it! We get stuff in at the LFS that will look in similar condition, but doesn't pull through
+1 on survival. I had a chalice from Reeffarmers show up in BAD shape ( no fault of Steve Tyree, just the man in brown delivering ). Litterally only a pinhead size area of living tissue and it pulled through. Actually it's now the size of a nickle and my fav chalice. Go easy on the light though.
I wouldnt worry about it at all... I have had pieces that look a lot rougher pull through without a problem. Just make sure to leave it in a very low light area for several weeks during its acclimation.
just watch if closely keep your water parameters good and stable and it should be fine. I lost a good amount of tissue on a favia that was shipped to be but it has stabilized and recovering.
Well it is still hanging on, it has puffed up a little since the first post.It is still showing spikes but has healed the ones that had poked through.Giving it all the love I can.
