I got a cherub pygmy around 2.5 months ago. It was tank bred and 1".
Never touched anything. Yesterday noticed some acros with no polyp extention. Watched the tank and sure enough it is randomly picking at several corals. Dont think its eating them just picking at base and branches like it picks at live rock.
I am going to remove it but that wont be easy. Wish I never put it in now.
Lesson learned.

Some Angels absolutely will go after Euphyllia. I have seen bluefaces, bicolors and flames take out hammers and spawns. And my venusta quite regularly picks at them.

None of my angels have even looked twice at my euphyllias but every angel can be different. I keep an assortment of gold torches in the tank.

Euphyllia are generally angelfish safe, but not 100%. I have seen a blueface slurp down a frogspawn tentacle after ripping it off the coral. The flame and bicolors seemed to simply exacerbate a colonies in decline, what came first the retraction or the nipping?

I don’t keep gold Euphyllia because I like butterflies and they are less trustworthy with nem looking things than the angels.

As mentioned in the previous comments , sometimes angel can be safe and some times they can be a nightmare.

Form what I noticed zoas will be at higher risk, some lps like acans and brains can be at risk. SPS in general will be safe.
Angels like to explorer and pick everywhere, these picks are usually harmless.

genicanthus angels are the safest angels, they are planktivore and will usually stay away from corals.

I would give the regal a try if you are noting keeping or not planing to keep zoas

+1 My regal is in SPS dominate tank, I have few SPS chalices as well. My regal is fine except he did go after my zoas so I had to relocate them down to refugium. I love my regal

I would love a regal to eat the noxious, hitchhiker zoas that are in my tank, but I cannot risk my Blue Squamosas and Maximas. Clams just seem too tempting to them.

My venusta is a devil , but I love her picks on every single coral in my tank. she is more interested in acans and also if I reduce feeding I can see a lot of bite marks on acropora.

Yes at one point years ago I experimented I had a few corals my emporer angel tore apart my carpet anemone though my regals didnt touch any corals at that point not sure if it was a fluke that they didnt eat corals or regals tend to just not like corals in general
