I am considering using them, so if you use them, or have tried them, please share your experience , good and bad!! Thanks

I personally don't, but we'll give this thread a bump back to the top of the list to see if we can get more eyes on it for you to get your question answered ;)

I could be wrong but my understanding is that they just absorb ammonia. If your tank is properly cycled, you shouldn't be having such issues.

I think the theory is that ammonia is absorbed before it has a chance to break down into nitrate. Also serves as surface area for bacteria .but I guess no one uses it!! Lol

I use the aquaforest zeolite stone and not the zeovit one. Not really sure if they’re working or not but its in a media bag sitting in my sump

I ran zeovit zeolites for 12 months. I ended up stopping zeovit because my phosphates were always a problem, no matter how diligent I was with the method. I had to keep at aggressive water changes and it just make the whole thing too expensive on top of already expensive zeo method. They did however control nitrates. Removing the zeolites didn't change my nitrates and now I use the aquaforest reactor method utilizing gfo/carbon/zeolites and have seen no negative impact, but still making the change slowly so it is too early to say much. However, my phosphates are going down, nice and slow. I should note that I also use tons of marine pure.
