Does a bulkd head thread x thread connect straight to male NPT

What is the size of the output pipe on your return pump? Try to match it... but I don't think loc-line comes in 1", so you end up having to downsize to 3/4" at the return output anyhow. But depending on the pump size output, you can run a bigger pipe up to your tank and then split into two 3/4" return lines.

looks to me the pump has a bunch of screw ons to change the output size to what I need I havnt unpacked it yet. So right now what I was wanting to do is just run 1 pipe up and into the bulk head and then at the bulk head have a Y splitting the locline to have 2 return nozzles

did you think that would work? I'm super nervous and cant find much information on this part of the hobby

I have a75g tank, so not experienced with the flow requirements for a 120g system. I have a Varios6 pump which has a 1-1/4" ouput that I reduced to 1" directly out of the pump...then run up to the tank and then downsize to 3/4" for the loc-line. I don't see why you couldn't use two 3/4" inch returns for a 120g system and have plenty of return flow. You can do your split wherever you want and actually have the 2 returns enter your tank at different locations. My tank was pre-drilled with 2 holes in the overflow box. So I converted it to a herbie design where the main siphon line and emergency line is in the overflow, then use an over the rim return that i added.

Dont be nervous...just draw out your plan ahead of time showing each fitting you will require. Then buy more firings than you need... you will need them, lol. Return what you don't use... but as much locally as you can from Lowes (better selection of fittings than Home Depot). You can look at my build thread for an idea of a plumbing layout piece by piece to give you an idea and example.

So i really dont want to run 2 seperate lines though I would like to just run one and split it into 2 loc line nozzles after the bulkhead(in the tank ) ( so i can aim extra flow where i want ) is it fair to think that would be enough ? I mean worst case is just slower flow down the drain right?

Well splitting after you have already reduced to 3/4" doesn't increase your flow...it just splits up what would have gone thru one 3/4 fitting into two 3/4 fittings. So if you want to increase flow to the tank, split before... if you just want to be able to change flow directions, split after!
