Does a fish death automatically rises ammonia level?

Hey guys,

I have my beloved lawnmower blenny missing for 2-3 days which is highly unusual since he has the personality of a dog....

I have a Seneye monitoring ammonia and ph, and if he is dead somewhere would it have registered on the ammonia level or does a well cycled tank just consumes it and it won't even register? (50 gallon tank)

I don't want to tear down the rock work to try to find him, but I would sure would like to know...

If your biological filter in tank strong enough + got a good cuc like nassarious snails/ hermits/ shrimps they should make short work of it I would of thought .
Buy what's your apex saying ?
Did it indicate amnonia rose ?

No it didn't rise, if it did I would say alright he is dead, but now I am wondering if he's hidden somewhere

I've never personally had it but read lots of threads of others of a fish hiding for a few weeks and thought was dead,some even bought a replacement only for original fish to show its face a few weeks after put in tank

Yeah but it was the kind of fish who came to see you in the glass and was always watching the room from above a rock... He was not the prettiest of my fish but he was my favorite. And he also ate like a pig, so that I at least didn't see him during feeding time, is highly suspicious
