Does a large dose of Iodine/Iodide reduce PH?

Does a large dose of Iodine/Iodide reduce PH? Added Kent marine tech I (Iodine) and PH dropped quickly, is this a possible cause?

It definitely could have, iodine is acidic and i believe it’s less stable at higher pH values, but could be wrong. Typically large doses of anything at once should be avoided if possible, gradual changes while monitoring is best

agreed, I should have spread out the 15ml Kent tech I dose into much smaller increments. thanks for your response.
