I’m plumbing a second return pump to use for a manifold system for possible future needs and a BRS Carbon & GFO reactor and a UV. My setup
Is I have a 225g in wall build on a DIY stand. The sump is perpendicular to the tank behind it in a fish room. I have nothing but empty space under the tank. My question is, can I plumb the return so that the manifold goes under the tank stand, a few feet away AND lower than the sump? I was going to mount the UV next to the stand.
I didn’t know if there’s enough pressure after coming out of the carbon reactor in 1/2” tubing to feed up and over to the sump? Up distance would only be a few inches. And over a couple of feet.
My only concern with everything under the tank would be a leak but hopefully that wouldn’t happen. I just assumed that’s why every manifold I’ve seen was right above the sump
