Does activated carbon in DT harm the fish or corals?

I was placing a sock with activated carbon in my sump and accidentally spilled some of the carbon in the water. Some of the particles wound up in the DT. Should I try to remove immediately? Does this cause any harm to the tank?

BTW, my tank is a 40g reef that is approximately 2 weeks old. Still cycling, and currently in the high nitrate stage with minimal nitrites.

Carbon dust can cause HLLE, especially in tangs. Idk what carbon you’re using but people tend to stick with the higher quality stuff for this reason.

Honestly if it was just a little i wouldn’t be too concerned. If you’re really nervous, do a larger water change and siphon out the carbon from the tank

When fish and corals are shipped they put a little activated carbon, supposedly it's a special activated carbon but, the fish or coral survive with that in the bag. So, you should be fine.
