Does adding powder medications directly to aquarium make fish itch?

Has anyone experienced your fish itching directly after powder medications have been added directly into the aquarium? Examples: General Cure, Metroplex, kanaplex, etc.

Has anyone experienced your fish itching directly after powder medications have been added directly into the aquarium? Examples: General Cure, Metroplex, kanaplex, etc.

I did think of a similar situation: fish being housed in water with high particulate matter may cough and shudder to try to clear their gills. I’ve also seen fish in cloudy water flick their fins in response to particles sticking to them.

Praziquantel is not very soluble, and actually is more like a suspension - I wonder if it could do the same sort of thing?
