Does Alkatronic make corrections to alk or do i need dosetronic aswell?

So if I wanted to just buy the alkatronic. I would be able to dose alkalinity with it?, you guys said above that it can but the dosatronic can turn on or off automatically based on results. Im only asking because I run a balling method AF 123 with a jebao dp4 , I know it won't connect but I figure the alkatronic would correct the kh while I dose my 123 everyday.

Alkatronic will do small adjustments and shouldn't be the main doser. I would suggest you run a seprate doser for alkalinity because the alkatronic comes with a Bluetooth wall plug and will shut it off if alk deviates from the normal range. The other additives can run normally off your dp4 though and you'll have an extra head for whatever else you might wanna add in

The only reason why I ask is why couldn't I use it as the main doser ? I guess the alkatronic would only be worth it if you buy the dosatronic because then it automatically add the required ml of alk to keep it stable. Where as if you don't have the dosatronic then would you just have to manually calculate how much to dose or would it tell you so can program your doser to the correct ml?

i want to buy system that does everything for alk. Like you said its not recommended but I've tried looking up those reasons can't find any. So if I bought i single doser with plugged the wall plug in would i say set it to 50ml a day and if the tronic says its to low then u would just have to guess the ml until the readings are consistent? Or can it say add 34 more ml to correct
Thanks!

Im not entirely sure why it can't be used by itself

The alkatronic will adjust if its under your range. So let's say you dose 50ml and you're still under dosing, the alkatronic will compensate with an additional x amount of ml to keep it in range. I would say that if it compensates 11ml then add that to the 50ml originally dosed and it would make your daily stable dose!

The only way for it to adjust by itself is by alkatronic working with dosetronic to change daily dosing if its under or higher. This will be the way you'd wanna go because it will do what you're after, automatically and all you need to do is top up your alk additive :)

Can you use the alkatronic with the tropic marine all in one?
Since there is only one head. I have a 40 gallon tank so that would be an idea

Good question.

If that one pump head kick's in for low alk, it would raise your alk, cal, and mag with TM AIO.

Maybe stupid question, but can Alcatronic dose alkalinity (i.e. TM Carbocalcium) with its 'D' pump whereas other components (Mg, trace elements cts) will be controlled respectively by the Dosetronic working in Alcatronic mode?

The D pump is meant for corrections only, it’s even psychically smaller than the other heads in the alkatronic and Dosetronic
clear, but is there any information what is the maximum capacity of this pump? It'd be a waste to leave it unattached

The tiny D pump is meant to kick in if your alk drops below your set points. So, it doses a small amount of alk until you rectify your alk with a true daily use dosing pump.

If you want a true full-blown all the time dosing pump, then pair up a Dosetronic to your Alkatronic. It has 5 big built-in dosing pumps and you can program it to which product line that you're dosing, Like Triton, ATI etc... :)
