Does anybody know what these are.

I am fairly new to the zoa thing. These are really nice and I was wondering what they are called. Sorry about the pics. These are really pink with a yellowish orange center with a green mouth.

In this pic noticed where I circled it. It has the striations like a PE.

No flash Actinic.

Dunno but they look like some type of PE with the mouth and the striations. Is that right?

I wish I had a better picture for you guys. These zoo'z are really pink. For some reason I can't get that color so show up very well. Fishes2889 why don't you think that they are PE. I thought PE's have striations when the polyp is closed and green mouth's which these have both. Like I said I'm new to zoa's and am trying to learn.

The outside of the mouth is green but not the actual mouth by the looks of it. There are some morphs that have striations like yours and no green mouth.

Those are Zoanthius Gigantus......Same thing as PE just don't have the green mouth.....The green mouth doesn't indicate species, just what the name denomintion has been given to that type of polyp...

Ok so besides the fact that if it's a PE or not does anybody know what they are called. I will be turning on the Metal Halides soon and will try to get a better picture.

ive seen a very similar picture before and it said they were candy apple pinks. dont know though maybe someone can verify that. i dont have any of those so only going by a picture and what it said they were.....

Does anyone here think that my polyps look anything like these. Some people are comparing mine to the Legions of evil. Not saying there not nice but I don't see the similarity at all. Maybe it's just me. What's your opinion.

Are they zoas or palys?
