Brown jelly disease. Little information available about what causes them. Best treatment is cipro antibiotics, and stability in parameters.
 
Could just be cyano. Does it look like a film covering coral tissue that you can blow off easily? Or is that brown stuff part of the tissue?

IME BJD starts at the base of a coral, not in the middle of a tissue.

The coral could have been injured by something so now the cyano is growing wound.

Can I pull it out or dip it??
I personally don’t have much luck with treating this. All my LPS corals that had it succumbed to it.

I never tried the cipro antibiotic, but a bacterial analyzer tested it with very positive results. Give me a second.
