Does anyone have a nice looking quarantine tank? Post pics!

I’m considering doing a QT tank and want to put it where I can see my fish. As I planned this out, I found myself wondering…

”does anyone have nice looking quarantine tanks? Are there things other than PVC I could add that would make it look nicer while not interfering with the QT process?”

I have pics floating around... I guess it has more than PVC...

but ya you could add fake rocks, bricks, fake plants... a sunken ship.. whatever you want. The fish like it more than PVC actually.

Since it is a QT tank... just don't have lights on enough to grow algae and the fake stuff won't get so nasty.

Thanks for the tips! I like the idea of doing some fun plastic decorations like a ship. I’m actually putting this tank right on my work desk so want it to not look so boring while my fish are in QT transition from the LFS

Feel free to use those window decal's during the holidays or what not for themes. A QT tank should not have live rock or inverts but doesn't mean you can't have fun with decorations with it if you want to...

Maybe more hiding spots then this (more skulls and a pumpkin?) but you get the idea...

I am planning to do exactly this. I have a waterboox cube 25 peninsula on order currently that will be primarily QT tank at the moment. I am going to be placing it on my desk in my office room that also has the kids desks in there. I work from home primarily now so I can watch it through out the day.

If my QT tank was in an out of sight place(like back room of basement) I know maintenance would slack on it, and would keep getting pressured from wife/kids to get the fish out of there and into the DT faster.

It definitely costs a bit more, but now I will treat it as a DT since it is in full view. Plus I plan to let the kids put decorations(i understand medications could be absorbed) in there that I know they would have wanted in the main DT. So now doesn't matter if fish/coral are in the for 30/60/90 days since it is almost acting as a second DT.

Might be trend of a QT/DT tank getting more use?

Dude we r on the same page, seems like we are on nearly identical paths!

I’m shopping for whimsical decor now. Like you, I might also let my kids pick some as well.
