Does anyone have a reef radiance dm 165 WiFi model...need help

since I cannot get in touch with the manufacturer anymore ( tried calling and emailing multiple times), I have a brand new dm165 WiFi model and cannot get the WiFi to Connect with the app. Does anyone have any tricks or tips to do this ? Any help would be appreciated....without being able to connect to WiFi, this would be a paperweight for me.

I would check that you don’t need too go through your router first instead of the WiFi .. just a thought !

That's a good thought....there is no way to do that though to my knowledge with this light.

The tiny amount verbiage that appear to be instructions say to download the app and connect when you turn it on.

Yes but your device will either go through the router or your WiFi .. so one of them must first find your device ..

but there is no mention of this....I almost think it uses the app through bluetooth not actually wifi (but it is called WiFi)....but again, I received 1-8x11 sheet of instructions and 90% was just the checklist that the things were in the box. So I am going on the almost 0 info I received with this light new. I understand what you are saying, but I have no idea how you would do that without the info....Its seems like the phone app uses the wifi in my house to "autofind" the light and cannot seem to do it.

It’s aqua dim I have the same light .. this one works of your phones WiFi you will find it in your phones WiFi list you must set aquadim on in your list then go back into the app and select connect ..

First install the AqDim app to your phone. Disconnect your regular wifi address and let search begin. Click on aqDim address and that should do it. I have one working at home but I haven’t messed with the programming in a while. I might have the instructions that came with it too!
