hi was wondering if anyone has this skimmer
Reef Octopus Classic 152-S 6"

if so it is quite? and your thought on how well it does?

its for the water box Marine 90.3 tank..

I have the regal. So next line up. The classic has been around for a long time, and not much has changed on that design. So honestly, it must be doing something correct! As for quietness, unless you upgrade that pump it may hum a bit. Lots of people complain about the skimmer hums but it’s the vibration from the pump. My skimmer uses the varios pump and it’s super quiet! Can’t hear it at all like it not even running. So if you can upgrade to the regal, or upgrade the pump you’ll be happy

what about the Reef Octopus Regal 150INT 6" Internal Protein Skimmer (VarioS)

would this skimmer be too much for my tank? its 60 gal display with a 25 gal sump...

the skimmer is rated -- for
BRS Recommended for tanks up to:

• Heavy Bioload (Most Common) - 100 Gallons
• Medium Bioload - 150 Gallons
• Light Bioload - 210 gallons

That’s the same one I have for my reefer 250. It’s a 56 gal, with 15 gal sump. It works for me.
