Looking into pairing Hawkfish (most likely Flames), but not sure how it’s done. Do they stay mated for life, and how do I get a pair? If anyone has experience would love to know. Also would you trust any Hawkfish with shrimp gobies and blennies? (And a Pistol Shrimp?)

I have a pair. I bought them as a pair of Liveaquaria Divers Den back in 2019. They're really peaceful. The bigger one chases the smaller one once in awhile. I don't know if mines a true pair. They usually aren't always together. Mines never bother my snails. I don't have many hermits so I'm not sure if they bother them. They never bothered my cleaner and skunk shrimps either but maybe it's because both shrimps were in the tank before them and are on the larger size of shrimps. Other than that, I really enjoy having them.

That’s good to know. Would you try to attempt pairing them yourself?
Great fish and fun to watch as a pair! I have paired flame hawks 2x with no issues.

Either buy two juveniles the same size,
or 1 large and 1 small.
