We got these in a frag pack many months ago with no identification so we really don't know what they are or how to take care of them. Any clues?

Sorry my friend they are just live rock now, they were probably a favia

So they're dead? How can you tell when they die? We're new to the whole coral thing.

Dead Corals.

Were they in that condition when you received them?

All corals have apparent flesh in the skeleton. As you see those are only skeletons with coraline algae on them.

a little more colorful maybe? I don't really remember. Hubby takes care of the tank mostly. We definitely know now to identify and figure out the best placement and food for each kind. Just wasn't sure what to do with them.

Sorry it’s dead for sure. Do you have picks from when you first received it?

No it was a random frag pack so we didn't know what we were getting. I don't remember if I took pictures or not...it was months and months ago, I'll have to look back on my sim card and see if I can find any.
