Does anyone know what this is on my tang

The skin blanching is a reaction to some irritant - probably the dark thing at the center of the spot. Could be tang turbellarians. Could also be a reaction to being stung by a coral. Aquarium type: Fish-only with an artificial reef
Aquarium water volume 300l
Filtration type sump running with bio reactor, protein skimmer, purgien, carbon and phosguard
Lighting led lighting
How long has the aquarium been established? Around 4 years

Only has 2 damsels, 1 nemo, 1 blue tang and 1 shrimp all owned for over a year

Water quality (be sure to indicate what measurement units you are using)
Temperature 24.4
pH: 7.98
Salinity / specific gravity 1.024
Nitrite 0
Nitrate 0

Well, I'm not seeing any clues as to what this might be. Based on the timeline, it isn't tang turbellarians. No stinging corals or anemones, no recent fish additions, water looks fine....

How long has the fish had these spots? Did they show up all at once or did they increase in numbers over time?

I've only just noticed it so in the last day or so.
Not sure what to do with him, no other fish are showing signs as of yet.

Well, due to the rapid onset and lack of other symptoms, I would just wait and see. It isn't a symptom of any of the common communicable diseases like ich or velvet.

Did you try a freshwater dip? Those are oval and may be flukes but not 100%
Accomplish if possible in a CLEAN dark pail or bucket of tap water same twemp as display tank for 4-5 minutes.
After- return fish to display tank.. Look on bottom of container for what looks like fish scales or sesame seeds. If nonee- Rules out flukes and as stated by Jay . . could be nothing
