This thing can on my live rock about a month ago. What is it?
I want to know if i need to get it out or if it is safe to leave as it is

I am no expert by any means, but I also think it looks like a closed paly. Can you get a better picture of it? Maybe move the rock above it or add some light? Are there any "babies" near it's base?
 
Looks like a Snake polyp - I have some - they open up at night mainly - not really open though, just a little spread at the tip.

i can tell my salt went off the chart there for a bit my meter lied to me
If it was recent - that is the reason for the closed top. It does that to survive. Mine did it too. I didn't care for them and left them in a QT tank in the basement which I left get SUPERRRRRR high in salinity cause nothing was in it and I didn't top off - they looked just like the one in the picture. I put them back in my display. - never really looked to see if they came out again (don't really care-just wanted to the LR)
 
Most don't give them a second look, but they are pretty cool zoas. Under higher light, mine put on more texture and color.
