This has been growing on my rocks for months now and I’m not sure what it is. It’s about the size of a dime and has not duplicated. The color is red and it has a small mouth in the middle. I don’t have any zoas that look like it. There are about three rows of little “legs”, each with a small bulbous end. I wondered if it might be a baby flower anemone. I have several in my tank but not in this color. It has grown bigger over the past few months. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks! I used aptasia x and this morning it was this horrible black thing sliding down my rock. You can see it next to my chalice. It seems to be melting, but should I be worried?

Should be able to remove him now.

It was still stuck to the rock, but about an hour later it seemed to have dissolved after I dosed it with another shot of aptasia x. I hope it didn’t release anything that will cause new ones.

The critter in post #6 is not the same as post #1. Post #6 is an Elephant slug (Scutus sp.), actually a good member for your CUC. No need to kill it.

Oh dear. But the original thing was gone and that black thing was just below it this morning. Ive never seen it in my tank before. I wonder if it was in the rocks underneath the anemone. Very weird. Thanks for the info!!
