Its a harmless pineapple sponge which feeds off of algae and is short lived. You can discard if you like. They favor dark areasCleaning my media basket and found this egg looking thing anyone know what it is?
Probably a sponge (I’d guess pineapple sponge, but the pics not close enough to be sure).
