Does anyone know when Petco does the $1 per gallon sale?

As I've said in a previous post I'm looking into Macro Algae cultivation. I was thinking 6, 10g tanks. One for each Macro Algae. Also needed a 5g one to grow out Brine shrimp.

I haven’t seen them run the $1 per gallon for a year or so. Recently they’ve just been running 50% off sales. I know they just ran a sale a little bit ago.

They do them quarterly. If you call your Petco they will tell you when the next one is scheduled to start But I think one just concluded recently.

Have you looked on Craig’s List or Facebook Market place? You can buy those same tanks for less than that, with a few accessories. LOL Just be prepared to barter.

I’ve asked at my local PetCo in the past and they told me that don’t know when the sales will happen until they get the advertising stuff delivered. It could also be that the employee just didn’t want to look for me too.

They stopped the 1$ sale. I've asked my local Petco for over a year and the most you will get is half off. I got my 20 long for 50$ few months ago.

At some point within the last few years the 20 and 29 were $1/g also. I only know because I bought a few of each, but that was probably 2 or so years ago

I agree, I see the 40% and 50% almost every 2 or 3 months in my Petco. I got the 60 breeder for 40% off even though they werent supposed to do it.

They may have just been being lazy, or didn't know. The manager of my Petco gave me the 2021 dates, early in the year for all 4.

I know they recently stopped the 1$/g over 30g so the 40&60b aren't included, but I think were still 50% off

My local Petco also charges the sales tax on the pre sale price. They are only obligated to pay the final sale price tax to the IRS so they pocket the difference. Scummy business practice
