Can you please inform me how you start dosing and your setup or a basic setup to start or suggest what your currently using? Looking to start using all for reef because it’s only one part and only need one dose pump

I dose it and according to directions

I use it as a true all-in-one solution. Dial in the dosage by Alkalinity level. I found that I need to supplement Mag every so often to keep that level high. Otherwise, it seems to work great for me. My tank is Acropora dominant with frags and mini-colonies.

I plan to Dose AFR in my new Aquarium I know its pricey but I like using one Dosing Pump for the application saves some space in my sump.

Get the new powder. Makes it much cheaper to run. You just mix it up with your own RO water and dose

You can but it may raise the current alk. Let water tests determine your needs
I'm running a calcium reactor, which lowered the pH of the tank. Also found that the reactor couldn't keep Alk & Calc where I wanted them. (High demand tank) Started dosing Kalk to get pH back up, which also got alk.

Was wondering if I could start dosing AFR and less Kalk to get my numbers where I wanted. Would like the benefits of the trace elements that AFR provides.

That’s a maybe. Add more tank air and what is bubble count?
I’m going to lose reception on phone as our company jet is departing in half an hour and we have a 2+hour flight

If you know what your current tank consumption is daily is there not a calculator somewhere that will give you an estimate on how much AFR you will need? It would be nice to free up a dosing pump, but if I have to use it to figure out how much I'll need then I can't figure out the cost to see if I am willing to switch.

I currently use Randy's diy recipe 1 and dose about 70ml of each. Is there a way to figure out how much AFR that I would need?

I'm sure I've missed something but you only need to dose 16ml in a 600 gallon tank to maintain alk/cal/mag? If I understand the directions correctly the recommended starting dose for that size tank is 115ml.
Meant 1.6 not 16
