Just picked up a K2 from robbous and I was wondering if I can't use 3 peristatlic pumps to draw off of it and pump to my Mixed, SPS, and Frag Tanks. Would the Kalk precipitate and rock up in 1/4" lines under the low flow conditions that it would see? Would it be reasonable to flush them once per month? Curious what your thoughts are

Assuming you mean the avast k2, it’s really designed as a flow through stirrer rather than a reservoir unto itself. I suppose you could operate one ATO as designed that would keep the k2 full and then two peri pumps pulling from the unit.

I was thinking of drilling to lid and using peristaltic pumps to pump to each tank and using the avast peristaltic pump for makeup according to how much I have programmed to pull off. At $265/stirrer, I was thinking it would be worth trying to figure something more out

you may benefit more of just doing a large container with pre mixed kalk and pull from that. People do that in large 50g trash cans. Unsure the degree of effectiveness using a kalk reactor vs the big batch method.
