Does Anyone Use This Potassium Chloride for Dosing?

KCl is used as a substitute for salt in water softeners. Here's the one Home Depot sells.

Diamond Crystal 40 lb. Potassium Chloride

It's way cheaper than any KCl sold in the reefing trade.

Does anyone use this for dosing?

Since it's used for water softeners, I would imagine it's reef safe.

Yes. I started a tread just about dosing potassium last week but I wanted to see if anyone uses water softening KCl.

Some people do, and it is probably fine, but I'd prefer to use a food or pharmaceutical grade such as iherb.
