Does API ALGAEFIX affect Tridacna clams?

I have little brown algae infestation in my tank, so I was thinking putting algaefix coz it worked before but I also have 8 tridacnid clam. Will that solution affect the clams negatively?

It’s an algaecide and it might irritate corals, anemones etc.

I have no personal experience with it you could try a third of the dose and see but have water change ready, make sure to increase flow when dosing this stuff and watch for O2 depletion.
