Like the title says. In freshwater, carbon is known to pull out fertilizers that help plants grow. Is this similar for Reef Tanks, that whatever I am dosing could be pulled out by using Carbon?

I know this has been commented on throughout a variety of threads but figured I would create a new one to try to get a conclusive answer. Anyway, has it been proven, or not, that running Carbon removes useful "things" as well as the intended targets or does it just filter out the bad stuff...
