Does Chaeto need to tumble?

I read somewhere that chaeto needs to tumble in your refugium. Mine just floats there. Is that ok? If so, any reason someone would say it needs to tumble?

Tumble helps the chaeto get even amounts of light on all sides, absorbing as much light as possible. I have mine clipped to the side of my tank so one side gets tank light and one side gets sunlight, doesn't move an inch grows like a beast.
