Does coral rubble in refugium really help raise PH?

Does anyone use coral rubble for refugium rubble? Is there any cons to using it? Is it true that it will help raise PH?

I have some in my refugium and honestly I don’t recall seeing anything PH wise change, my copepods love them though.

What is your PH level?

It stays between 8.1 & 8.3 if it falls below that then I know I need to change out my CO2 media.

I do not see how..
With right conditions you can get CA and alk from coral skeletons but increase PH..I do not see how..

My ph is 7.5-8.0 however I just have fish and inverts no corals.
