Does coralline algae show in blue lights?

I never had thick growing coralline algae before, but I’m getting purple speckles now. It white lighting I can clearly see it’s purple, but I’m regular ai hydra LED’s it looks brown. No purple tint.

It looks completely brown in regular light. Picture is white light. Does your coralline algae show in blue lights?

Yeah, under pure blue I can see hints of pink - but it is barely noticeable. I included a few images similar to yours. For reference, I included in the frame an image of a plug with coralline on it compared to what is on the rocks with an orange filter, my normal lighting, and then all blue with no white. Notice the effect is similar for the purple epoxy putty I used to anchor the duncanopsammia.

It will not fluoresce if that is what youre thinking , unless it is dying
