Does everyone here really clean ALL their equipment?

I am just wondering how many people, especially those who have had long term success with their tanks, really clean all their equipment periodically, and how often they do. I am talking about removing and cleaning all powerheads, removing and cleaning the return pump, taking the skimmer apart, etc.

I am guilty of not doing this kind of long-term maintenance... wondering how big a deal that is

I clean skimmer cup every week, body every 6 months. Powerheads I take out and clean every 3 months. I have never cleaned return pump though ;Greedy

skimmer body about 5-6 months, vortech pumps every 30 days, main pump impeller 2-3 months

I can't remember the last time I cleaned my return pump because it's so hard to remove. My mp40s I clean every few months when I see algae buildup. Skimmer pump I also never clean because it's too hard to get it in or out of my stand.

I nothing other than my mechanical filtration and skimmer collection cup. I would like to be on the level of Dr. Sanjay Joshi who has an ultra low maintainance tank.

I do a deep clean every 2-3 months. Skimmer collection cup every other week.

When I first set up my tank 2 years ago I made sure to make everything easily accessible for cleaning. Return pump and power heads about 4 months. Skimmer gets a complete breakdown and clean every 2 months. I also take down my Kessils and clean the glass and blow out the fans ( you'd be surprised how many dust bunnies collect in there) two or three times a year.
