I've had an acro for about a year now that still has flesh but no polyp extension, has not grown that I can see and the underside of the coral is dead with algae all over it...Is this coral still alive and can it ever thrive or has it peaked and will stay like this for the rest of the time that I have it?

As long as there is tissue there is hope. However, if it has been in your system for that long and it has not done well, I would venture to say that something is off. Without knowing more about your setup, one can only guess as to what that may be.

I had some problems last year with me experimenting too much, add 2 moves within that time frame to go with it...it is still hanging in there...maybe with the stability I've been able to keep recently it will be ok.
