Does GHA and turf algae use blue or white light

[Back where it all began]

As the title suggests, does this type of algae prefer one type of light over another. By this, I mean does a higher amount of blue increase coral health and perhaps decrease, or slow down, algae growth?

I think generally you would see faster algae growth with a warmer spectrum of bulb than blues and actinics. I don't however think that heavy blues will significantly stop either of those algae if the nutrients are available to them.
