Does Holding Live Rock need nutrients?

Returning to reefing after 15 year absence. Now a newbie again. Starting a JBJ RL FP -45. Awaiting delivery from JBJ after warranty issue on RL-30. Anyway I'm amassing all my setup items, bought dry rock (too much) and plan to seed this from another source of live rock and some sort of bacterial additive (Dr Tims?) anyway. Have live rock in tub with pump and airline to circulate. Question is do I need to feed live rock with anything while it sits for a couple of weeks.

id buy some pure ammonia and does it to keep your levels up to feed the bacteria. without ammonia the bacteria will starve and die
