I just found a old bucket of salt about 3/4 full of instant ocean salt, it was sealed with a lid.

Will it still be good to make salt water?

It will be just used for water changes, few fish no corals right now. I will be using r/c once i get corals

Should be good as long as it hasn't had moisture in it. any clumps? I'd roll it around several times before using.

There was some bigger clumps but I have had that in new buckets.

I will stir it good before adding it.

Thanks for the quick response

If the clumps can be broken up then you're good. if not, you can throw them in your water and your parameters may be off slightly, but not enough to bother fish only.

I buy the case (4 bags per box) of the reef crystals salt. By the time I get to the third and fourth bag it already has developed large clumps. Other than being more difficult to dissolve, I've seen no difference in my corals or fish. I dissolve mine on the stove.
