I believe its a Monti. I am still very new to this haha. I got it from a local because I was looking for something that could handle higher light near the top of my tank.

When I got it it seemed to be more green but I couldnt see the polyps. Now it seems to be more purple in color but the polyps on it are kind of blue.

I am not sure if the purple color it has is ok or if its being "bleached" and will turn white soon.

Let me know what yall think or if I need to take different pictures.

This pic is with my white light on and no blue lights.

Looks like a happy wild Blue Polyp Monti. Unusual growth pattern. Nice coral.

Haha ok I was worried because it used to be green. So I thought it was supposed to be green always. I think I got it from a tank that might not have been doing the best though. So maybe it was supposed to be purple. I was just scared that maybe the purple was the middle phase of it turning to white or something. Its my first sps ive had.

It wasnt really showing the blue polyps when I got it but after a couple days they started coming out and it looked cool with green and blue polyp. Plenty of green in my tank though so maybe the purple is a going to work out :)

You should see him and say "HAHA!" whilst holding that picture high up in the air :D

In that picture kinda towards the top there is a brown growth and an air bubble. It looked like a piece of hair algae growing there so I plucked it off and that was what was left over. Not sure how to get it off properly without hurting the coral. Should I just leave it?
