DOES IT NEED LIGHT,SOME LIGHT, NO LIGHT?

I got this with some NPS corals , it's smooth coral (litophyton)
I'm getting conflicting advice in the internet some say it just needs plankton and others say lighting and Plankton. I do notice without the lights the polyp still open I turn on a light which is 6500 Kelvin and still looks the same. Please help

As long as it is not Dendronepthya, it will require at least moderate lighting. Plankton is not necessary but will feast on it.
