Does leaving dry food out decrease its nutritional value?

For example, if we forget to put the cap onto a bottle of pellets or forget to close the nori bag, does the nutritional content decrease due to more contact with the air?

I've heard something like this before but I am not sure what the general consensus is on this subject
 
Yes, it will cause certain nutrients to break down faster. Higher temperatures and humidity will have a bigger effect. I wouldn’t throw out food if you just left the lid off overnight. If it sat in s hot garage for a month, then probably throw it out.
