Does Melafix Lower PH in a Reef Tank?

I have been treating my reef tank with Melafix now for 6 days. After 3 days my PH dropped .2 below it's normal Readings. norm. low 7.8 Now 7.6ph . So does Melafix cause this PH shift or is it because my protein skimmer is off.

It may lower O2 which will have an impact on your PH

As of right now I have turned on my skimmer without collection cup to increase O2. Plus I make up a batch of new water and I'll stop treatment. Thanks @twilliard
