I have been dosing this some this week as I saw a bit of bryopsis showing up. I have noticed that my Chaeto looks smaller. It is still green and packed together, but it doesn't look as full and nitrates are climbing with every other day fish feeding. It could be that I didn't change water last week as the nutrients were a bit low. Parameters are all in line

PH 8.3
Mg 1410
Ca 490
Nitrate 5
Alk 9
Sal 1.025

Using the dose for an issue so daily dosing. Not white or brown, just looks smaller.

What does it say on the bottles that it rapidly reduces? Is that not what the chaeto eats(uses to grow). You added a butt load of bacteria that eat(remove) what the chaeto eats--and the bacteria are eating it before the chaeto can.

I would consider dosing something like chaetogro. Chaeto can seemingly just crap out sometimes and I reason its due to lack of certain trace elements.
