Just wanted to say hi to everyone and good morning. Just curious if my nem appears healthy? It was a near-death pet store rescue and I’ve had it for about a month! Just recently upgraded lights to kessil 360 and now it seems he is reaching for it? Really happy? Cause I raised the par about 100 so idk why he’d want more light now.

Since getting the new lights and finding a comfortable spot ( spot happened before the new lights ) he has about tripled in size in all about a weeks time. Previously while moving frequently and under lower par lights. This is a before picture vvv

I would say it's looking for more food.

Have you target fed yet? If not you may try to squirt some mysis shrimp towards some tenticals. However it looks large enough to even try a small whole shrimp layed into some tenticals to see if the nem grabs for the shrimp or not.

Worst case scenario you pull the shrimp out because the nem doesnt want it.

Best case scenario he grabs it immediately and starts to grow even faster. Nems really dont need to be spot fed if you feed your fish but if you dont have aot of fish it's a good idea to feed once a month.

So for some reason when I target feed mysis, he closes up, shrinks down to about the size of a golf ball and poops it all out. Is that normal? I thought that meant you were over feeding but I was only feeding some small frozen (thawed out) mysis
