Sorry these are the best pics I could get, he still eats but I noticed he likes to lay in the gsp doesn’t want to swim unless I’m feeding. I’ve had this clown for a long time and haven’t added any new fish for a few months.

From the second picture I would say yes. Are any other fish showing signs? Have there been any stresses or parameter changes lately?

Yes. Copper based treatment or seachem paraguard.

Dang it , I’m gonna have to set up a hospital tank then. I haven’t had any parameters change but I do add coral quite often and probably introduced it that way. Does the hospital tank have to be that big ? I only plan on keeping my 2 clowns 1 coral beauty and a Tomini tang in it for 6 weeks with copper treatment.

Do you think I could use one of those big plastic totes for a hospital tank? Because I don’t feel like purchasing a new glass tank for only a 6 week tank. You I was thinking of doing a 10 gallon water change and using the water from the water change in the hospital tank and use the copper medicine while testing for copper during the whole process. I was thinking to run a airstone and little aquarium heater in the tote with an old led light strip I have.

You should be moving all your fish out of DT and let it run fallow for 79 days. If you leave any fish in there, the ich will continue their lifecycle. As a result, when the clown is returned - it will just get ich again after all your hard work. Will definitely need a decent sized QT to house all those fish. You might be able to get away with a 20-30 gallon depending on the size of the Tang.

The 50g rubbermaid containers might work

Yea I was planning on putting all 4 of the fish in there, it’s gonna be a real pain but I love my fish and want to save them hopefully it’s not too late for the clown in the pic :(

If he is eating, not gasping etc. Then I'm sure it wont be. Just make the process of moving as least stressful as possible

Is there a product you can add to the display tank safe for corals? This scares me asking it.
Supposedly polyplab medic treatment but I've personally never used it and I have seen mixed reviews as to its effectiveness

Yea I think the headache of settling up a hospital tank would be much less painful than losing all my nice corals I’ve put months of dedication into after my last crash, gotta do this the right way.

All the reviews I've seen haven't mentioned loss of coral but rather it didnt cure the ich. But then some said it did so who knows. Hope you get it sorted. Keep us updated!

Yea I will post updates it’s just horrible cause I gotta sneak a tank in my basement because my landlord will freak if she knows I’m setting up another tank, it’s like running another 40 electric water heater. I’m also on the couch today with back spasms so hopefully tomorrow I’ll feel good enough to pick up a tank

One more question could I use a big cooler meant for food storage? I know it would be strong enough to hold all the water cause it’s a heavy duty cooler.
