My rbta had bubble tips when I bought him now his tentacles are shortened and fat but he eats every day I was just wondering if you guys had any opinions on the way he looks and if he is possibly getting too much light I have a current marine led light bar rated at 46 watts that goes across the whole tank and a 165w Chinese led fixture that hangs over the center of the tank about 4 1/2 inches over my 75 gallon I keep it turned down most of the time and turn the actinic to bout 60 percent what do I need to do so I can get his tentacles elongated or bubble up?

No one really knows but I know when I turn the flow up, bubbles tend to dwindle on the side it's getting the most flow

I am not an expert on bta's have had my rose bta for about 8 months. I saw somewhere that you should only feed every few days as the digestive process is hard on anemones and every day is too much. I also read that in higher light the bulbs remain and in lower light the arms straighten and stretch for the light (although I have also read in many places that causes of tentacle shapes are just a guess and nobody really knows).

Looks good, chances are he would have moved if he was unhappy, they are all a little different, it has good color.. mine extends a little more some days than others, he may open up more once he's settled. It looks good though, no worries[emoji16]

From what I have seen, if you over feed, they just spit it out.

Looks fine to me!

I wish I knew what causes their tentacles to change. I got my RBTA when he was about the size of a golf ball; beautiful bubble tips.

Now it is the size of a dinner plate, but has long, stringy tentacles...
