I am wondering if successfully pairing the more “jumpy” fish and giving them a mate will make them less likely to jump. For example, pairing gobies, wrasses, Blennies, Hawks etc. Is it overall good for their sense of security and even longevity?

I plan to keep an acrylic lid on top of my tank. Are there any other measures / parts of my tank that should be sealed?

I do not think that pair of fishes will try to escape less than single fishes. I think its most a question of species and individuals - not if they are in relationship or not :p

Lol..... Maybe if the pair fall in love but then there are problems later down the line, hope my Flame Hawks will be a nice couple though. Not too worried about Clowns jumping.

Will am acrylic top be enough for my tank? Or do I also need sump and overflow and everywhere else covered?

There is tops of plastic nets - better than a whole acrylic top - easier to stay clean. You must have combs or similar things to prevent fish going down into the overflow. Do not need in sump if you do not plan to store any fishes there:p
