I understand the concept of par being a unit of measurement but I use the marine orbit pro led lights and like most lighting systems they have intensity of the spectrums. do these equate to the par measurement or is par the same no matter what intensity I have my lights set at?

As you increase your intensity, your par increases. So at 100% intensity you'll have the most par, and as you decrease your par goes down as well :)
