I would like to mount my RODI unit next to my tank on my mixing container but I do not have a sink near the tank. The closest sink is about 20 feet away.

My PSI 10ft away from the tank is 60 PSI.

Would an extra 10 feet make a big difference in the PSI?

Yes it would make a difference. You need the high pressure to pass water thru the RO membrane. I always put a ro/di close to the source of water and you need to have it near a drain.

The PSI (pressure) will not change over distance,, but.. you will get a pressure drop when you open the line until the water supply catches up...
You will lose flow unless the line is sized up to compensate...
Once it catches up you will still have the 60 PSI...

This is correct. I will add that you would see a change in pressure of the head height changes from the sink to your RODI.

Not having a RODI unit, I have to ask,, will the increased drain line length (back pressure) affect the RODI??
He was talking about adding 10ft to his RODI, just curious how the back pressure would affect the function...

I can't see how but that's just a gut feel. The flow out of the drain is low volume.

My bad what I meant to say is that my PSI 10 feet away from the sink is 60 PSI
